Didn’t Make It to Honduras last Sunday?

April 25, 2026

St. Mark’s Green Lions and Migrant Support group wish to thank the 20+ parishioners who came to the presentation about Sustainable Villages Honduras last Sunday. All attendees were impressed by what the farmers, their families, and the small mountain villages are achieving with the support of St. Mark’s and other churches. Several expressed interest in the possibility of visiting the villages either this fall or next spring. Want to learn more? Pick up one of the handouts which you’ll find in a stand on the windowsill in the foyer.

Bring Those Wrapped Utensils to Church

Get the deets...

Do you throw away – or hoard but never use – those plastic utensils and small condiment packets that come with take-out food? Now, we have a volunteer who will collect and deliver them to a place that will make good use of them!

Connecting the Dots: Sustainable Agriculture in Honduras, Clean Water, and Migration

Tim Jenkins from Sustainable Villages Honduras will be the presenter.

For 20 years, St. Mark’s and other DC churches have been supporting reforestation and sustainable agriculture projects in the highlands of Honduras, helping farmers adapt to a drying climate. Come to a learning program at 12:30 in the Adams Room on Sunday, April 19.
