Established over 40 years ago, the St. Mark’s Players originally created “chancel drama.” Parishioners soon broadened their scope and included more popular kinds of theater. Now considered one of the DC area’s best community theaters, Players’ productions feature actors from across the Washington region and attract thousands of patrons.

Many of the productions have also provided rich conversation within the community of St. Mark’s, such as the 2009 production of “Parade,”a powerful story of intolerance which tied in with a St. Mark’s dialogue on Race and Reconciliation.
