Solidarity Sunday, October 6: Where We Stand on the War in Israel-Palestine
Join us for a Committee debriefing from General Convention 2024. Diocesan Deputy and St Mark’s Capitol Hill member Mary Neznek will offer reflections after the 11:15 service on October 6th in the Undercroft Library. Please join us to share your thoughts for constructive action as we mark events leading up to Oct 7 and aftermath with ongoing US role in the war in Gaza, the West Bank and southern Lebanon. Receive literature and exchange ideas on ways St Mark’s might continue to bear witness supporting those heeding cries for justice in this tragic time of war. Please Note: Churches for Middle East of which the Episcopal Church is a member, is calling us all to reflect and act from where we are on this named ‘solidarity Sunday.’ We are in solidarity with those in the path of war in Israel-Palestine and other parts of the Middle East where events are on the brink of more widespread violence.
