Green Lions: Anacostia River Boat Tour
Join us on a beautiful, interesting and fun boat ride on the Anacostia River, with Trey Sherard, the Anacostia Riverkeeper, on Sunday November 8 at 3:15 or 12:45 (depending on interested peoples’ preference), leaving from Kingman Island or Anacostia Park’s boat launch (again, based on our preference). Trey was named one of the country’s most important “River Heroes” in 2022. We will learn about the challenges facing the Anacostia, the progress made so far, and what we can all do to reduce its pollutants and help it reach a swimmable future. All ages welcome.
