Vestry Meeting Report

Next meeting on Tuesday, February 25, at 7 PM

The current Vestry held its last meeting on January 28. The main focus was money:  Treasurer Doug Ammon reported that we ended with a modest surplus.
With a modest deficit, the Vestry approved the 2025 budget that funded all requests and included increases in the Diocesan pledge and Youth and Family Ministries and Music programs.
The Vestry also devoted time to the parish’s racial history, with long-time member Don Lipscomb reflecting on his experience as a Black man who has led and participated in conversations on race in many iterations. The Vestry also considered the challenges facing federal workers and its role in leading discussions on race.
The meeting included planning for the Annual Meeting and Vestry Retreat, approving new Dance Studio By-Laws, and a report on the Diocesan Convention.
The Vestry will next meet on Tuesday, February 25, at 7 PM, in person and via Zoom. Contact me at clerk[at]stmarks.net with questions or to attend a meeting. See the website for Vestry members and meeting minutes https://www.stmarks.net/who-we-
