Summary of current policies of the Endowment Board regarding requests for funding from the St. Mark’s Endowment.

Form of request: Requests should be made in writing (email preferred) to the Endowment Board.
Required information:
  • Purpose–sufficient detail to establish that the expenditure is eligible for endowment funding
  • Funding amount
  • If known, which endowment fund requested to be drawn from
  • Timing of payment
  • Back up documentation–a quote or invoice
  • Whether the requester would like to make a presentation to the Endowment Board
Timing of request: Ideally, a request for endowment funds would be made before the commitment is made to spend the funds. If that is not practicable, the request should be made on a timeframe that affords the Board a reasonable amount of time to consider and act on the request.
Timing of Board consideration: The Endowment Board holds quarterly meetings, typically in the third week of:

  • January
  • April
  • July
  • October

Funding requests in the ordinary course should be received by the 10th of the month to be considered at a quarterly meeting. For unanticipated expenses or where it is otherwise necessary, the Board can consider and act on funding requests on an ad hoc basis.
