Seeking Service and Social Justice (SSJ) Grant Proposals

All ages are encouraged to apply by September 30!
The SSJ Board has set aside $1000 grants to give parishioners the opportunity to develop and/or support SSJ initiatives.

This is your chance to receive a small grant to jumpstart a new project you believe in—to benefit the larger community outside St. Mark’s walls. All ages are encouraged to apply!

Proposals are due by September 30th. The SSJ Board will choose the recipient(s) in October, and the grant(s) will be awarded in early November.

Judging considerations include:

  • ·  Are the beneficiaries involved, and do they want the proposed project?
  • ·  What is the immediate or unmet need?
  • ·  How can others from St. Mark’s be involved?
  • ·  Can youth be involved?
  •    Is it realistic for implementation?

Send your proposal to Leslie Allen at socialjustice@stmarks.net (202-544-8399), including a description of the project, plan for implementation, and budget/justification for the amount requested.
