Mite Boxes

March 2nd and March 9th in Baxter Hall
We will be passing out mite boxes along with a daily reflection booklet in Baxter Hall on March
2nd and March 9th as a way for kids, grownups, and families to make daily gifts for the season of
Lent.

The money we collect will go to helping migrants and refugees in our city.

Adults may sign up for a daily St. Mark’s email, which begins Ash Wednesday, March 5, and runs
through April 17, Maundy Thursday. The email will include writings, poems, prayers, songs, and ways to take action. We invite you to reflect on the words, explore the links, and learn how
you can help.

“Money collected during Lent will go to organizations helping migrants and refugees.”

If you would like to donate to the Lent Mite Box Fund, you can make your contribution
in one of three ways:
1) Write a check to St. Mark’s, 301 A Street SE, Washington, DC 20003, noting “Mite Box” on the
memo line
2) Make an online contribution here: https://onrealm.org/StMarksDC/give/mitebox.
3) You or your child put money in the physical mite box and bring it to church on the two Sundays
after Easter
