Good Friday Offering
Thank you for the incredible response to the Good Friday Offering which raised $7,316 in gifts large and small. The funds will be sent to the American Friends of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem for Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza and St. Luke’s Hospital in Nablus/West Bank so that they can continue their life-saving work. After the Palm Sunday bombing this year, the director reported that “Despite the destruction and trauma, the dedicated hospital team returned almost immediately to continue providing care. Ahli is once again serving hundreds of patients each day, treating wounds, offering emergency care, and providing comfort in the midst of crisis.” An exhibit by Gazan artists at the Museum of the Palestinian People (1900 18th St., NW), includes work by Mohammed Sami Qariqa who was killed by an earlier attack on the hospital.
