Calling All Creatives: Samaritan Auction Coming Soon!
Each fall, Samaritan Ministry hosts a Gala with good food and drink, presentations, and an auction featuring items donated or solicited by partner congregations.
Individual parishioners or teams put together theme baskets with a minimum value of $100. Past baskets have offered beverages, food, crafts from different countries or regions, books, music, clothing, decorative items, and gift certificates. Higher-value items have included vacation homes, catered meals, professional services, works of art, and tickets to concerts, plays, and other events.
If you have ideas for a theme basket or can donate items, please contact Peter (phawleydc@gmail.com) or Mary (maryneznek@verizon.net). The online auction begins October 23 (items needed October 16). The Gala will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, at St. Paul’s Center, in Northwest, on the campus of St. Paul’s Rock Creek Episcopal Church. Save the date!
