Transformation in Honduras: What Your Dollars are Enabling!

Thurs Dec 11 | 7 pm on Zoom

For 20 years, members of St. Mark’s have invested “sweat equity” and funds in a program to help poor farmers in mountain villages adopt sustainable agricultural practices and install safe water systems to conserve the land, improve health and income, and reduce people’s need to emigrate. Our Service and Social Justice Board has also been supporting Sustainable Villages Honduras with $2,000 per year. On December 11 from 7-8 pm, join us via Zoom for a slide presentation about the inspiring results thus far. The speaker will be Tim Jenkins, a member of the SVH Board who has been working with local agronomist Roy Lara. Trained in international agriculture and rural development, Tim has extensive experience in Central America. To receive the Zoom link, email SVH President Mary Procter with “SVH ZOOM” in the subject line by noon on the 11th. Contact: mprocter57[at]gmail.com.
