Pentecost Witness for a Moral Budget
Programs like Medicaid and SNAP, which ensure healthcare and food for millions of poor and struggling Americans, are under dire threat. The proposed budget slashes programs like these while funding huge increases for mass deportations. At a time of deep national fear, economic inequality, and political division, we are called to bear witness—to proclaim what is morally right and to stand with the people Jesus called “the least of these.”
Together, we will:
- Sing, pray, read Scripture, and lift up the voices of those impacted by budget injustice
- Urge our Senators to protect the most vulnerable
- Carry this witness back to our congregations and communities
