The Wednesday Bible Class is live on zoom during the School Year — The first fall meeting will be September 10th

Wednesday Bible Class invites you to drop in for an hour of Bible study, lunch, and fellowship.

Contact: peter.mosley@cox.net

So that we might be more present for all we do and must witness, our class will
rediscover the Christian roots of resistance and resilience in the first seven chapters of
The Gospel of Matthew. [The genealogy, birth, satanic test, John the baptizer, and
Sermon on the Mount] We will interpret the text in its rich context of culture, language, &
history of the first century (CE) (including the text’s allusions to the Hebrew Bible), and
then we will seek the meanings that may emerge for our lives in this century.
We will meet for Wednesday’s Lunch Hour (Noon to One), in screen, on Zoom.
The class starts September 18 and meets every week, except for holidays, and continues into May.
(Interest and belonging are more important than perfect attendance.)
