Beyond Gas Faith Climate Initiative
New gas emissions investigation–of pollutants from gas heating appliances. We invite you to get your home tested. The testing will be done on homes with gas heating equipment (furnaces, boilers, hot water heaters, dryers). We will be testing for two pollutants from gas, (nitrogen dioxide and carbon monoxide) in various locations inside and outside each home.
- We will test 30 homes twice: once in October to get a baseline when heating systems are not running (Weather reports predict temps in the 70s for most of October), and a second test later in the winter.
- In addition, we will test 200+ homes once each during the winter heating season, between November and the end of February.
