Be Inspired (yet again) by Bishop Mariann!
In her sermon about the Good Samaritan last Sunday, Caitlin mentioned the Samaritan Ministry of Greater Washington and the inspiring address that Bishop Mariann Budde gave at its “Next Step Breakfast” event on March 29. In it, Mariann told us that as a young adult she made “a series of poor choices” that might have led to a downward spiral had not “people had mercy on me.” She learned that each of us is in need of mercy and help at different points in our lives…and that reaching out in compassion depends on recognizing that mutuality.
