Learn more about this unusual tree
For the next year, the cathedral will ‘host’ the 42-foot Fenland Black Oak Table, cut from a 5000-year-old Black Oak tree found in East Anglia.

Discovered in 2012, the 180-foot tree originally weighed 1000 kilos per cubic meter (for math students!). The wood produced an unusual sound and is now in great demand for percussion, woodwinds, and stringed instruments.

Choir tour members will bring back pics!!
