March 2nd Pop-Up in Baxter Hall: Card-making and solidarity for a Palestinian political prisoner, Marwan Ibrahim Maadi
St. Mark’s is part of the Friends of Palestinian detainees project, which pairs U.S. congregations with a Palestinian political prisoner and their family to provide support in the form of prayer and solidarity. We have been paired with the family of Marwan Ibrahim Maadi, who has been in Israeli detention since 2012 and whose family has not been permitted to visit or have any contact with him since October 2023.
Join us in Baxter Hall on Sunday March 2nd from 10:45 to 11:15 to make cards and write messages of support that we will share with Marwan’s wife, Nirvat, and their family, and to learn more about the plight of Palestinian detainees. Youth welcome!
