Then & Now Bible Class

Wednesdays at noon, from September through May

Instructor: Peter Mosley

So that we might be more present for all we do and must witness, this class will rediscover the Christian roots of resistance and resilience in the first seven chapters of the Gospel of Matthew (the genealogy, birth, satanic test, and Sermon on the Mount).

We will interpret the text in its rich context of culture, language, and history of the first century (CE), including the text’s allusions to the Hebrew Bible, and then seek the meanings that may emerge for our lives in this century.
