Historic Organ Pipe Donation and Upcoming Memorabilia Exhibition

Do you have memorabilia to contribute to the archives?

Thanks to Janice and Neal Gregory for their donation to the St. Mark’s Archives, a truly unique gift of three pipes from the 1894 Hook & Hastings pipe organ that served us until 1972. When dismantled, the pipes were sold to parishioners to raise funds for its successor, a smaller pipe organ built by Rieger of Schwarzach, Austria. We hope to be able to exhibit the pipes early next year along with other physical memorabilia from the past. They also donated files from Janice’s service as Christian Education leader and Senior Warden, including a binder with sermon transcripts and writings by Jim Adams, our 10th Rector. We are deeply grateful to them for this gift and happy to know they are comfortably ensconced in their new home at the Residences of Thomas Circle.
