5K Run/Walk for Hope and the Children of Iraq Sept. 6
St. Marks parishioner and 1991 Gulf War veteran Erik Gustafson is organizing a team for the Iraqi Children Foundation (ICF)’s 13th Annual “In Their Shoes” 5K. This inspiring interfaith effort supports trauma care, Hope Buses, and rescue work for orphaned and vulnerable children across Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
Every year, the event draws folks with ‘Iraq in their story’, including veterans, Iraqi Americans, Ambassadors, and humanitarians. Walk or run with us in D.C.’s Rock Creek Park or join us “in spirit” from home. Your participation extends love to children in Baghdad, Mosul, and beyond.
