Description:
Prayer means many things to different people. How can we make prayer a part of our lives and use it to find inspiration, hope, gratitude, and peace?
“I used to believe that prayer changes things; but now I know that prayer changes us and we change things.”
This quote by Saint Mother Teresa puts the focus of prayer right where it ought to be: on the transformation that occurs in those who have a disciplined prayer life. Especially in times of trial, we humans resort to prayer; we ask God for help. However, prayer is much more than asking. During seven Saturdays in Lent, Jason Campbell and I will be leading a class on various prayer forms that we can use to deepen our faith journey and develop a spiritual discipline. Each Saturday we’ll introduce a different prayer form and practice it.
