►If you want to organize a fundraiser – or if you have volunteered to work as a fundraiser manager or treasurer…please click here.

►If you have been asked/authorized to spend money on behalf of St. Mark’s…

Most often, parishioners who are asked/authorized to spend money on behalf of St. Mark’s are asked to use their own funds to purchase goods or services and to then request reimbursement from church funds.

o   Before you spend personal funds, make sure you know the ledger account that is to reimburse you and make sure that you have the authorization of the treasurer for that account – or you may not be reimbursed!  If you need help with this, contact Susan Block, the Parish Administrator for Finance & Membership, (202-543-0053 x 305).

o   To explore purchasing procedures that could help you avoid spending your personal funds, contact Susan Block, the Parish Administrator for Finance & Membership, (202-543-0053 x 305).  There are several procedures that can be used, depending on the particulars of each purchase.  The procedures all require considerable advance planning, however, so the sooner you contact Susan, the better!

St. Mark’s is exempt from sales tax in the District of Columbia and Maryland. For proof of this exemption (to present to vendors), contact Susan Block, the Parish Administrator for Finance & Membership, (202-543-0053 x 305).
