Celebrating Bill and Jean Baxter's Book: Building Church

On Sunday, November 23, the parish celebrated the publication of “Building Church”, the oral history of Bill Baxter’s years as rector of St. Mark’s as told by Bill and Jean Baxter and others, edited and published by Jo Ellen Hayden. The lunch exemplified how much our present is molded by our past, as the parish gathered in the pewless nave and ate a festive lunch under the mural commissioned during Bill Baxter’s time, and current and former members had a chance to reconnect.
