Children of all ages are encouraged to sign up for the Christmas Pageant: shepherds, angels, animals, wise people, a holy family, and readers.
Come sing your favorite Christmas Carols while enjoying tasty beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and some snacks. We will be joined by special guest, Andy Barnett, priest and jazz pianist. Bring a snack, a beverage, or $5!
This musical evening will include the 21st Century Consort’s presentation of Jon Deak’s ” Passion of Scrooge or A Christmas Carol” and a “Ceremony of Carols” by the Girls of the Washington National Cathedral. Free.
Live simulcast Christmas Service with Christmas Lutheran Church in Bethlehem, Palestine. Choirs, readings, and carols alternate in English and Arabic between the two places. Open to the public and people of all faiths.
Families (and spares)! Bring one dozen un-iced cookies per child and use decorations that will be provided. The decorated cookies will be served at the Pageant Cookie Reception on Christmas Eve, so come help!
The most time-consuming tasks for the greening is winding lights around the columns. So we would like to do it early! This is not the full greening; it is just to get the lights up. Ladder-climbers especially needed!
We have a very short window to green the nave for Christmas this year because Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday. That means we need as many people as possible to lend a hand!
Celebrate Christmas Day with other parishioners and guests at this single morning worship service with Eucharist. All are welcome!
Please consider helping to take down the greening decorations on New Year’s Eve day/afternoon, so that we can have them down in time for Epiphany. Many hands make light work!
