Wrestling with the Angel

2nd Sun | 1:00 pm, Dozier Library

If you’ve been chomping at the bit for more opportunities to talk about theology, philosophy, and ethics, please join a new monthly discussion group, Wrestling with the Angel, which will be held the second Sunday of each month, starting Oct. 14. We will meet at 1:00 pm downstairs in the library. We will pursue a theme through a number of scriptural texts, asking not only what those texts seem to say on that theme but, even more importantly, how the questions we ask about the theme inform and shape our lives today.

At our first meeting, on Sunday, October 14, we asked what “faith” is really about—what it may have meant to Jesus and his followers, and what it might mean for us in the 21st century.

All are welcome! Any questions may be directed to Assistant Rector Scott Lipscomb.
