Artist-in-Residence: Peter Krummeck
Bonhoeffer
St. Mark's is pleased to announce the U.S. premiere of "Bonhoeffer," a one-man play depicting the life of Dietrich Bonhoeffer,
the German theologian who was executed by the Nazis for his involvement in a plot to assassinate Hitler. The U.S. premiere
took place at St. Mark's on September 13 and received a standing ovation.
The play is written and performed by South African playwright Peter Krummeck, who is also an Anglican Lay Preacher.
Krummeck is Artist in Residence at St. Mark's from August 26 to the end of October. He first presented the play in July
this year at the University of Cape Town, to standing ovations and laudatory newspaper reviews.
