Acts of Vestry
October 2004
At the Oct. 17, 2004, meeting, the Vestry:
-
Approved a proposal by Music Director Keith Reas to provide the St. Mark’s nave as a key site for the 2005 and 2006 Washington Early Music Festival,
which was held successfully at the church in 2004.
-
Agreed to rent the space to the early music festival on a below-market basis for 2005, with the expectation of a contribution of at least $200 to
cover costs. In the following year, however, the amount of any rental charge would be reviewed in light of the financial strength of the festival.
-
Accepted a plan submitted by the Junior Warden governing pricing and the timing of sales for the new Columbarium space, but agreed to postpone until
the following meeting the issue of what to do with future income from sales of spaces for the honoring of cremated remains.
-
Acknowledged with pleasure the creation of a revived Hospitality Committee chaired by Raiford Gaffney and Robbie Williams. Charlie Brodhead,
Jane Michael and Robbie Williams will be the chairs of Hospitality.
