Acts of Vestry

November 2004

Vestry actions at the November 2004 meeting included:

• Adoption of the following areas, in order, as Vestry budget priorities for 2005:
  
  
  1. Worship
  2. Clergy/staff salaries
  3. Youth, including study of increased classroom space
  4. Building Replacement Reserve
  
  
• Statement of the sense of the Vestry that there would not be a second Canvass for 2005 regardless of the outcome of the current annual fundraising effort.
  
  
• Allowing a group of St. Mark’s parishioners to stage two charity fundraising performances of “The Vagina Monologues” in the nave during the month of February. St. Mark’s would not be identified as presenting the performances, and a building use fee would be charged.
  
  
• Approval of a fundraising project for the Heifer Project in Sudan and the Capitol Hill Group Ministry, to be conducted during the parish Christmas fair.
